You can get some rather shit hot PCs these days. The best thing with the PC is you can get function over form, really good mice and kb combos, awesome screens with full adjustments including usb & card readers, etc. Then to top it off for the same price you'll get twice the system. Also if you don't use your computer like a nuff nuff you shouldn't ever have any problems with windows. I have had my windows box which I use every day running for months only needing a restart due to upgrades. Still I do hate windows but its not as bad as all that. Its really down to not filling it with crap applications, if you use a system for work only and don't put any kazaa or other crap on you'll be laughing.
I agree, processing power per dollar is better when it comes to PC. But the quality, overall, considering all brands of PC's, hasn't impressed me. Mac can control that. I guess that may be a disadvantage, too. haha
Thanks for the comment.
I have a Dell 2407WFP-HC, Logitech Wave keyboard and cordless mx revolution mouse, IMHO beats the pants off any Apple offerings. That said I'm not planning on going anywhere near Vista and I'm starting to experiment with running Windows apps in Ubuntu.
However when buying a system I would recommend either building it yourself or getting something like a Dell, Alienware :D, etc. (I think there are plenty these days) importantly avoiding anything from your local dodgy computer store. |
